Armasight Spark CORE

Postby M8R-kxeuds on Wed Nov 28, 2012 5:13 pm

Hello NV experts,

I'm new here and after I read a lot of reviews these days, I intend to buy:

1 x Armasight Spark CORE 500USD
1 x 3xMagnifier 200USD
1 x Headset (hands-free kit for it) 200USD
Total = ~900USD +50Shipping = ~950USD

Let say that I have 1000USD budget (more or less) and I would like to buy a good night vision equipment. Let say also that I don't have enough money to buy G2+ equipment, so ... I have few question:

Did you know or can you suggest another NVD like the one in subj with similar performances or better and for less money? I assume here that headset/hands-free is a must for me! Also I want to mention that could be goggle (mono) or goggles (binocular) device ... is not a must to be digital ... just to be similar in performances ...

Regards,
Alx

You did your homework well! The resolution and brightness on the Armasight Spark Core can be compared to any gen two device! The headset is the most comfortable I know of, and the price for upgraded performance will more than double the cost. I think you'll find that the 3x magnifier is too clumsy to use with the head mount, but very practical hand held. Very little fish-eye with this unit, and the ones we have seen are mostly free from artifacts. The tubes are very clean. Enjoy your new monocular and keep us informed about how it performs!
