camera adapter for lomo astele 60 and celestron MiniMak

Do both of them have one?
Both dig and SLR.

Additionally, did anyone get a chance to do a comparison?

Did you see the lunar eclipse last night? :D

Does size matter? If so, I would intuitively go with the C65 MiniMak, simply based on surface area of the aperture. (How's that for catching onto the lingo? And applying rookie logic.)

Hi Nelson

Photography is one area where the LOMO will be superior to the Celestron C65.

The LOMO features removable eyepieces and thus can be fitted with all the standard 1 1/4 inch telescopes accessories such as the Bushnell 1 1/4" photo adapter, http://www.opticsplanet.com/bus125telspo.html plus a t ring, http://www.opticsplanet.com/celestron-r ... meras.html if you are mounting a film or digital SLR. For digiscoping, you can mount a digital point and shoot directly over the eyepiece.

The Celestron C65 mini DOES NOT have a removable eyepiece. This means you will not be able to add all the 1 1/4" telescope accessories, including extra eyepieces. You will be able to digiscope, but SLR photography is out.

The 5mm of aperture difference between the two is not significant in terms of actual performance.

We are still waiting for the C65 to compare it optically to the LOMO, but in terms of versatility and features, the LOMO is a definite winner.
