These two ranging units appear to be similar but I'm wondering if the #201916 is newer. Which in your opinion is the better unit and are they both in stock? The next step up appears to be the Nikon 440 as it has an 8X magnification that can be focused.

The Bushnell Sport 450 Rangefinder 201916 is slightly newer (new in 2005), but is otherwise very similar to the Bushnell Yardage Pro Sport Laser 20-0015. I defintely like the 440. It's simple, rugged, very compact and as easy to use as it gets in a rangefinder.
