black powder loads for elk

Postby David E. on Sat Feb 12, 2005 10:05 pm

I just bought a new inline black powder rifle. I am wanting to load it for elk hunting this fall. Its a t/c omega capable of handling 150 grains of powder. I,m looking for a good combination of amount of powder to use, bullet weight and brand or type of bullet. Any advice would be greatly appriciated.

Hi

Sabots will give the best accuracy, but a conical will be heavier and offer a larger bullet weight.
