question about fittings on glasses (47mm and 50mm)
If you do not need correction for near vision and do not have astigmatism, it might be just spherical power. Your spherical power is -4.25. Is there anything else besides this number written on the script?

I would recommend you to place an order for the smaller frame. If you buy a frame without lenses and do not like how it fits, you can always return it and exchange for a bigger one. We have an easy return policy.

Yes, we ship to UK. The fees and the time in transit varies depending on the shipping method and the carrier you are going to choose. Take a look at http://www.opticsplanet.com/free-shipping.html . You will find more information there.
Ray Ban Rx 5121 is very popular, indeed.

I would recommend polycarbonate lenses for your prescription. If you are planning to get clear lenses, the price for the glasses will be $148.89.
You can also choose CR-39 as the lens material. It is cheaper than polycarbonate, your total will be $123.95 than. But CR-39 scratches easily and the lenses will be thicker. If you decide to go with CR-39, I would recommend getting Anti-Scratch and UV protection coatings. The total with both coatings will be $139.95 ($8 additionally for each). If you go with the polycarbonate lenses, you won't need to get UV and Anti-Scratch coatings additionally as they are already built into the lens.
You do not need choose any of the other more expensive lens materials that we also list on-line, they are for people with stronger prescriptions.

Pupil Distance or PD is the distance between the right and left pupils. It is usually measured in millimeters. If you do not have PD written on the script that you got from your optician, you can call him and double check if he has it.
You can also call the last place where you purchased prescription eyeglasses from. They should have your PD on file. They should give it to you upon request.
You can also go to your optician and ask him to measure it. Usually they do it free of charge.
You can measure pupil distance yourself as well. You can find the instructions on how to measure your pupil ditance here.
But I always recommend having your PD measured by an eye doctor. Just to be on the safety side and know for sure that you won't have any problems with adjusting to your new eyeglasses.

Re: question about fittings on glasses (47mm and 50mm)
Do the Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Eyeglass Frames RX5121 (2000-5022 RayBan RX5121 Eyeglasses: 50 mm Lens Diameter, Shiny Black Frame) come with a normal plastic lens and regarding the 50mm if I have a big head, you think it would fit?

Re: question about fittings on glasses (47mm and 50mm)
Hey moh! The Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Eyeglass Frames RX5121 do come in a polycarbonate lens. As far as how they would fit you, it is always best to order them and try them on. You see your definition of big might not be what I consider a big head that would fit these eyeglasses lol. We do have a 30 day return policy for our non-prescription items so you can return them if they do not work for you within that time frame and if they are in new condition. Let us know how these work out for you. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hello,
The Red Logo is on the demo lenses for merchandising reasons. There is no safe way of removing it. The lenses are usually replaced when a patient has custom lens installed. Give us a call at 1-800-504-5897 option 5 if you need pricing for lenses with our without vision correction.

Re: question about fittings on glasses (47mm and 50mm)
I already have both sizes (50mm and 47mm) and I still cant figure out which one to choose. 47mm looks a little too tight, but I also dont want to look like my whole face is occupied byt the 50mm lens.
I have a not too oval and not too round face. I know it sounds like a silly description LOL.
Can you let me know which size most women order?

Hello,
Thank you for the post. Unfortunately I can't tell you what frame would be best for you. People choose the frame that fits. I would suggest that you have your friends look at the frame while you try it on. You can even send a picture with you wearing each size. This will help getting you in the right frame.
I look forward to assisting you.
