Transitions brown progressive lens in Bolle frame
How light do the transitions brown progressive lenses get at night? I would like to use them for night driving. Both Optics Planet and Bolle have a lot of information about their lenses, but I don't see an answer to this question on the web sites. Transissions.com has a product demonstration for lenses, but I wanted to be sure the Optics Planet "transitions" lenses get almost clear like on the Transitions website, as there are other brands of photochromic lenses that still have a lot of pigment at night.

Bolle Prescription Sunglasses
Transitions lenses for Bolle prescription sunglasses darken under direct sun light and go clear indoors or at night. These are the same photochromic lenses some people get in their eyeglasses.
There are colored prescription lenses as well that darken when exposed to UV light. When you go inside the lenses become lighter but not completely clear. Such lenses are not available in Bolle frames. We offer them in Serengeti prescription sunglasses. All Serengeti Rx lenses darken or lighten depending on the light conditions.

Re: Transitions brown progressive lens in Bolle frame
I just picked up my pair of glasses with brown transition lenses. I love the color and they look completely clear at night and in the. When I first got home it was cloudy and I thought they might have forgot to coat it. Then the sun came out and bang! there they went. LOVE the brown lenses!

I'm glad you like them!
We usually get only positive feedback on Bolle prescription sunglasses. Bolle is doing great job in the lab, they even put some higher prescriptions in 8 base wrap frames and the lenses work with no distortion.
