Hi there,
the RX lenses have an option for 'lens upgrade'.

In that list I can choose between different types e.g. 'grey', 'gradient', 'polarized' and 'transitions'. What is the difference between them, especially the gradient and transitions? Do you provide photos of these lenses?

Re: RX (Ray-Ban) lens upgrade
In the Lens Upgrade drop-down we offer different kinds of prescription eyeglasses lenses. You can choose among:
Clear - regular eyeglass clear lenses
Tinted - gray, brown, amber, green, pink, blue
Gradient tinted - same colors mentioned above but in the gradient version. Gradient lenses are the lenses that are tinted darker on top and lighter on the bottom. A lot of people like gradient lenses for driving, as you can look through the darker portion of the lens when looking at the road, and if you need to check the map, you can read through the lighter portion of the lens.
Polarized brown or grey - polarized lenses eliminate glare coming from shiny surface
Transition lenses - clear/to gray and clear/to brown. Transition lenses are the lenses that darken under direct UV light. So your eyeglasses lenses will be clear inside and will darken when you go outside. The only inconvenience of the transition lenses is that they do not darken behind the windshield as there is not enough UV coming through.
When people order Ray Ban eyeglasses, they usually go with clear lenses. We offer all other kinds of prescription lens upgrades, in case you would like to turn your eyeglasses into prescription sunglasses. We usually do not post Rx lenses pictures on the web site as the colors might look different on some computer monitors.

Serengeti offers such lenses. Serengeti prescription lenses as well as regular Serengeti non-Rx lenses darken behind the windshield. They change from lighter color to a darker colors. The main lenses available are Drivers (brown), 555nm (green) and Sedona (amber-pink).
