need help picking lens
My prescriptions reads as
OD: sphere -8.25, cylinder -1.25, axis 015
OS: sphere -7.75, cylinder -1.50, axis 170
what lenses do you guys recommend for visible clarity and thinness?

I forgot to add, i was trying to choose between the 1.67 high index and the 1.74 ultra high index, which would be better for my prescription?
thanks in advance

Re: need help picking lens
Hello and thank you for your question.
For your prescription I would recommend either 1.67 high index or 1.74 ultra high index lens material.
1.74 pros: the thinnest lens material
comes with AR coating that eliminates side reflections and double images
cons: it comes only in clear form
1.67 pros: can be easily tinted
relatively thin lens material (comparing to glass, CR-39 and polycarbonate)
cons: little bit thicker than 1.74
if you would like to get AR, you will need to add it separately
To summarize, I would recommend you to choose 1.74 if you are looking into buying eyeglasses, and 1.67 if you would like to purchase prescription sun glasses.

Whats the brand of the 1.74 high index? and how much thinner do you think the eyeglasses would be in the D&G dd5034(between the 1.67 and 1.74)?

Re: need help picking lens
The difference in thickness will not be that significant in your Rx (probably even less than half millimeter). 1.67 is a good choice if you do not need AR and would like to save some money. As far as the brand, it is Varilux both for 1.67 and 1.74.
