[from customer] WileyX SG-1 Prescription Sunglasses / Goggle

Postby Admin on Fri May 28, 2004 4:45 pm

I understand that the RX lens is used in the prescription SG1, and I
have a few questions about them:

Are they scratch resistant and anti-fog as well?
Can you put an anti-reflective coating on the lenses?
Is the SG1 exclusively a jumping goggle or can it be used as an
underwater swimming goggle also?

If you could get back to me with any answers or suggestions via my
email, it would be much appreciated.

Faithfully,
A Future Customer?

Wiley X SG-1 goggles do have an anti-fog and scratch-resistant coating when it is not Rx'ed.

However once the prescription lenses are put in Wiley X SG sunglasses,

the fog coating gets eliminated however the scratch resistance is on the outside of the lens so that remains intact. The Wiley X Sg1 can come in a anti reflective lens either the mirrored lens or the polarized lens, and both have the anti reflective coating on the inside of the lens even after the Rx prescription lenses have been put in.
Wiley X glasses

can not be used as swimming goggles however the do float. So if you are on a boat or jet ski,and the glasses fall off Wiley X Goggles will float so the user doesn’t loose them! But unfortunately can not be used as a swimming goggle - not a good enough seal to keep the water out. Hope this has answered all your questions please let me know if any other questions.
