Nikon 848 problem

Postby bucknbass on Sun Jul 12, 2009 10:58 am

I bought a Nikon 848 tripod several months ago. It's got three plastic housings that the legs go up into. Each has a plastic clip which when flipped over locks the leg into place.

The bottom plastic housing on the bottom of one leg has cracked. When I flip over the clip the crack gaps open a bit and the leg doesn't lock in pace. Can these plastic housings be removed and replaced or glued?

Hi

Glue will not work, no. Contact Bogen for a replacement part at at 201-818-9500 and 212-695-8166 or visit their website at http://www.bogenimaging.us/
