bushnell 784030 vs M/B 055XDB

Wow, the more I read, the more I think I am getting in over my head.

I have seen the Manfrotto Bogen 128 recommended, but it is out of my price range. How will the Bushnell 784030 do with a 3-5 lb spotting scope?

Thanks for any help.

Hi

It will handle a 60 or 70mm scope, just fine, but an 80mm scope, only fair. I do very much like the fact that it has a metal head, instead of plastic, though, making it one of the few tripods under $100 with a metal head. Also, no quick release. If you want that feature, just spend a bit more and get the same tripod with a QR in the 784040
