Harris BRM-5 Bipod Mount/Adapter Question

Postby Alaskan Grego on Sat Aug 10, 2013 3:02 pm

I would like to know if anyone has any info on a Harris - 6 to 9 inch model BRM-5 bipod mounted on DPMS LR 308 carbines. I have the setup listed below and am looking for any info from those who have experience with this please - I do not need advice on what someone thinks would be good. Only real experience facts about the mounts/adapters used and what has broken or held up well. The good and bad please.

DPMS LR 308 lower with MOE stock and MOE+ grip both in FDE.
DPMS ORACLE upper with 7" (Carbine length) Magpul MOE FDE hanguard with a 5" picatiny strip mounted on the bottom.(This is where I would like to get info on what was used to attach the mount/adapter setup as far as what worked and what didn't work well).
From the research I have completed up to now, I am currently leaning towards the Larue LT-130 QD mount.

Thanks in advance for any pertinent info on this request.

I use the Harris BR size with swivel more than any other bipod. I use the GG&G adapter when needed. Both are top quality and do not need to be upgraded.
