Hi, my boyfriend's birthday is coming up, and i wanted to get him a microscope. He's a freshman bio major, and doesn't have his own to play with at home. He works in our university's lab (stem cell stuff, etc.) so he knows how to use them. Of course, being a student myself I can't exactly drop $400 on a scope, but I would love to give him something that he could use to really check out cells, etc with
Thanks!

Hi
Minimum I could recommend is the Celestron 44104. It has the minimum features needed for student work - illumination, coarse and fine focus. mechanical stage and metal body.

Thanks very much for the suggestion...I wasn't sure which one would have good quality and allow him to really investigate the microscopic world without breaking the bank. I appreciate the help!
