Hi.
I'm looking for a microscope for some electronics assembly.
You want a stereo microscope for this, to have a feeling of "depth" in the image.
The image has got to be upright; if the image is upside-down positioning tools becomes awkward.
Magnification somwhere between 10 and 20; if magnification is too high the field of vision becomes too narrow.
You might want to look at a component in the middle of a 5"x7" board; I don't know whether this implies a boom mount microscope or not.
Any suggestions anyone?
Thanks.

Hi
All stereo (dissecting) scopes give upright images and have adequate working distance for that kind of application. A 5x7 board could be used in either an arm or conventional stand, but an arm may allow you the most freedom of movement.
