I use the 44340 to look at coins. On the lowest power setting, the most you can see is one digit in the date. I'd like to expand the field of view to see the entire date. Even better, I'd love to see 25% of the coins surface.
Is there any way to do this? Remove the 4X lens and replace it with a 1X lens?

Hi
Changing eyepieces would be your only option but Celestron does not offer that option. To be honest, that is the wrong type of microscope for that application. Coin collectors use the much lower power of a stereo dissecting microscope to get upright , 3-D images and wider fields of view.
