darkfield for Konus 5302?
I like my Konus 5302 College 600X. It's a professional unit. However, I can find no darkfield accessory for it. Is there some way I can make one here in the lab? I was thinking I might can cut a clear plastic "filter" for the filter holder, then paste a dark spot in the center. Will that work? By the way, I've owned and used dozens of microscopes. It seems to me the Konus 5302 can't be beat for the money. Is the Celestron 500X considered a better 'scope? I've added the mechanical stage and am waiting for the illuminator. Will I be able to conduct serious research into micro-organisms when the out fit is complete -- or can I expect to need accessories which are not available for the 5302, like the darkfield adaptor?

Hi
Sorry, there are no dark field adapters made for that model and these are model specific accessories. You can try making something, but can't guarantee success, of course. You usually have to move into a more adavnced model, such as the Biorex to get a darkfield adapter as an accessory. Never supplied on microscopes at the price of the Colege 600x,
