Qustion about the Celestron Biological Microscope 4050
I am looking for a compound microscope with at least 400x magnification for about $150. I want a light not a mirror. I like this one, but it only has a 1 year limited warranty and I read in your "How to Buy a Microscope" section that I shouldn't buy one that doesn't have a lifetime warranty. Is this a good product? Does it have glass lenses instead of plastic? Do you have a microscope that is comparable in price and function that does have a lifetime warranty? Your site is so full of stuff I get confused when I try to navigate to find a good microscope. Please recommend some microscopes for me.

You are not going to find an illuminated microscope for $150. Closest you wil come is the Celestron Biological Microscope 4050. This, however, is a reasonably good microscope with glass lenses.
