Purchasing a microscope

I am wondering which microscope would be best for Koi scraping and identifying parasites.

Hi

It will basically boil down to the size of the parasites in question.

For something in the range of a bacteria size, you will need to make prepared slides. A good choice here would be a conventional microscope such as the LOMO BMH4-BH.

For larger ectoparasites, you may do very well with a high powered stero such as the LOMO SF-100. You can even get an auxillary lens, SF-AO2X 2x Auxiliary Objective (For SF-100 models only), to increase the magnification to 200x.
