Bianchi 7200 Nylon Duty Belt

would this belt perform well while wading in the surf for several hours?

NO. You need something marketed for marine environments. I would try a SCUBA shop.

Well actually I've just recieved info from several officers that use a duty belt as a Wading belt when they are in the surf... And they say it works flawlessly.. so that's good to know..
