I just ordered a hogue beavertail grip for my AR...
I'm left handed. I heard that the hogue grip will ONLY work with a Stock Safety, and CAN'T be used with an Ambi safety.
Does anyone know if this is true?
I'd rather not go thru the BS of waiting for it to get here, only to have to ship it back!!
Haven't heard or seen any problems with that. Can't even imagine what problems people had. Only possible issue would be tension on the spring which is an easy home fix.

Depending on the exact safety, there could be an issue. The hogue grip extends past the receiver sides about 1/16". Most safeties have the neccessary clearance built in. It is not a spring issue, I've installed quite a few of them and have never had a problem. Many grips are of the same size and there hasn't been a problem. But again, it depends on the exact aftermarket safety.
