Does anybody have any experience with this scope that appears to be sold as the Celestron C65 MiniMak, the Konus Konuspot Mak90 and the National Geographic 3-in-1?
Are these all really the same scope?
What is the performance like (brightness, clarity, contrast) for astronomical viewing?
Are they worth $60-$90 for a beginner?
Thanks! |

Hi
All of these are of Chinese manufacture and all are the same optically. They are best considered as dual purpose telescopes - mostly spotting scopes for use by day, but also of some use at night.
For astronomy, if that is the main use, you would be happier a LOMO 60 or LOMO 70 - Russian made, all metal construction, better optics, and able to use different eyepieces. _________________ ----------------------
