yEP. That appears to be one of the most accurate replicas of the jacket Ive ever seen. Except for the fourth button, it really does look like the durden jacket. Im not sure if this is a soulrevolver jacket, because Ive never seen one before in these kinds of pics. It could be one the infamous and now very rare tylers-jackets.com jackets, but I dont know. Its great. I would never spend that much money for something that im never gonna wear. I cant wear a jacket like that. the shades are one thing, but the jacket is too much. I think id look pretty rediculous wearing it.
Great find guy. |

To my fellow 5-2-3 Hooligans,
I just bought a pair of Paper Street's replicas via private auction...very friendly and great at communicating. I honestly had my doubts in the beginning (because of how exceptional the work is), but after more time I have warmed up and I'm almost certain that they're legit! The frames I was told are industrial strengh steel...not titanium alloy like the originals.
If something should go wrong in this transaction, this will be the first place I'd turn to tell...but guys I'm pretty sure that they've done their homework!
Is it so preposterous to believe that somebody with the technology at their fingertips to replicate these wouldn't? I mean I tried to buy danboy's a while back - and even though they are gorgeous and original, 1500 for a pair that has a nosepad missing and a little mangled seems hardly worth it (no offense danboy...I knowthey're your babies) when you are looking at these for a minut fraction of the cost. Damn, I feel like a salesman for these guys...hahahaha.
I just think that maybe we should accept the fact that we may have a good thing here and an end to this witch-hunt that alot of us have been on, instead of assuming the worse out of people. I have found almost 20 out of the 300 people that own the ops and the ones I have tried to buy from...only ONE under the 4 digit range! I do know a place to get original ops WITH the gothic rose lenses, in mint condition, w/case, and documents for 2500 if anyone's interestedin going that route too.
BUT I'll let you cats know in due time, and maybe even post a picture of me wearing them (even though I'm not brad pitt)...just to let you know! I'm off my fellow op-lovin lunatics!

I WENT TO A LOCAL STORE THAT SOLD POLICE AND POSTAL UNIFORMS
PICKED OUT THE POSTAL PANTS AND THEY EVEN HEMMED THEM FOR ME
TO FIT TO SIZE THEY WERE EXPENSIVE THOUGH. BUT LOOK FOR A STORE TO SOMETHING OF THAT NATURE
OR EVEN MAYBE AN ARMY BARRACKS MIGHT SELL THEM. THERES A FEW SIGHTS ONLINE THAT SELL THEM WORSE COMES TO WORSE JUST GET A JOB AT THE POST OFFICE AND ONCE THEY GIVE YOU THE UNIFORM QUIT. TO BE HONEST I ACTUALLY TRIED THAT BUT FAILED THE SCREENING PROCESS. |

You all are looking for postal pants now? I mean the ops are unique and something that I can see people hunting for their beauty and individual look that hasn't been repeated by any other designers...just when I thought you all were hunting the ops because you had taste and an odd sense of style, you cats are a bunch of loon-fanatics! It is a nicely done film though...and I think that the thrill for most of you that want this wardrobe is in the hunt! I've always had a random loud sense of fashion, I am wearing an EMT shirt right now with some MT-2 Pants, it's so much fun and you always spark up a new conversation with people that are interested in knowing what in the hell you are doing. Besides the point though:
...a follow up about Paper Street Shades...I have been given a tracking number via UPS in which I've already traced. How's THAT you skeptics?! They're on their way. Second thoughts?

which kinda brings me to something else i've noticed these sunglasses for awhile but never heard anyone talk about them or even mention they were
in the film fight club but i think now they should be discovered.
In the seen were Jacks shooting a gun at Tyler threw the glass Tyler
seems to be wearing a pair of sunglasses with yellow lenses there kinda hard to make out exactly what they look like but can clearly be seen in the film.
If anyone might know what these sunglasses please post them on here |

| I think that to dress like durden is losing sight of the whole film. I learned that with the years. I bought the op's 8yrs ago. I went through that point in my life, and now I am just a sunglass collector. If the media is controlling you to the point that you have to dress like a film character, then you really gotta pay closer attention to the movie. It means that youre really far from being as free as tyler. Im not saying that Im totally free, and enlightened. I too have many insecurities, and sometimes wish I was someone else, but I have understand that now that trying to be like tyler, is not going to make me free like him, its just gonna make me for confined to the notion that I have to be someone or something else to be accepted in this life. I dont like to get preachy, but nick made that statement. I think OP-523 are really cool, but I have several frames that I like more then OP-523. They have that Elvis appeal. Theyre very flamboyant sunglasses. They say, I dont give a damn about what you think of me. |

Hey guys!
Just doing my routine check-up! Mr. Ed, that would suck if they just sent me a picture...but I'm telling you guys, this man knows what he's talking about, not to mention he is too communicative to be the type to skip out. Very cool guy. Like I said, I will post pics of me wearing them when I get them just to prove that he is indeed a wizard when it comes to detail via the replication process!
I hope eveyone had an awesome weekend and caused lots of mayhem and lit things and small animals on fire! And danboy, I am glad you feel me...don't get me wrong - me and Tyler's character have a similar kinda style (just weird, sometimes vintage, random....loud)...that's why I want a couple things in his wardrobe, but I am not Tyler. You are not Tyler. Brad Pitt is not Tyler. We will never know our true capacity and potential if we live in the shadow of another individual...you know who originally said that? I just did. And I didn't borrow it from Tyler or anything else and it feels great being honest saying that.
So what is it about Tyler that allures you into mimicing his exterior? Is it to try to fool the rest of the world that possibly you share his interior? Or yourself. This is not a verbal attack, but an attempt at enducing your liberation of thought and feeling your sense of self...or provoking thought that would lead to it.
Be free. If that means setting buildings on fire and completely corrupting the world as we know it and altering it to your satisfaction, then do it. If that means making a vegetable farm on a small piece of land in Montana, then do it. If it means having 20 kids at a young age and attempting to build an army later in life, then do it. Whatever it is that makes you feel alive for 30 seconds, embrace it further until that is all you feel.
I think that the ops are amazing, but they only attract me because they accomodate what I have already acknowledged as myself for years! Keep hunting the ops, for they are the most unique style of shades I've seen (or those awesome replicas). Danboy, you're right...they do have that Elvis vintage look...in fact, I was wearing the 'replicas' that I have that are nowhere near the precision that the other ones are a couple days ago when some gold-teeth toting thug screamed "HEY ELVIS!" out the window...my emotions were a mixture of half 'fuck you' and half 'thank you'...so I just did some wild ass move! But the ops also give you kind of a ghastly look and they make you look a little angry because of the angles on the brows...giving them that much more personality.
I'll be glad when I get these replicas only because they are replicating something (that is this neat) that there is only 300 of in the world. With 90 billion people in the world, you'll always have something rare and fun...that few do...and to those of you fanatics, something impossibly rare to find of movie history.
But 7:30 am points to the fact that it is clearly past my bedtime. Good night little 'space-monkeys'. Good Night.

its funny you know there was a point in my life were i was alot like tyler too
i worked shit as late night jobs i never slept i fought in underground fights
i used to go out in the city and destroy stuff i dated a girl that was to much like marla but then something happened
i quit working shit ass jobs i quit fighting in the streets and in basements
i quit destroying stuff i quit sleeping with parasites. i made a whole u-turn
i realized its a fun life to live being wild in free but at some point you have to grow up and face facts that were are all confined to a system we are all brain washed by the lifestyle obsesion we all want to be movie gods and rock stars.
but someday we all got to relize your not and i did i'll never be tyler no matter how much i try or how much i want to be and nether will you. I think when i bought a pair of op-523's after 8 years of hunting for them after all the times i was fighting in the streets or in basements wishing i was wearing them i finally relized i've taking this to far sometimes i want to just get rid of them and other times i think of them as my precious kind of like that weird creepy dude golem from lord of the rings these sunglasses
have that affect its almost like they have curse placed upon them. But i do
know i will never be free until the day i let them go this is my last post on here so i 'll leave you with a little bit of tyler's words of wisdom
"THINGS YOU OWN CAN END UP OWNING YOU"
goodbye,

Couldnt have said any better my friend.
Right on the money.
Thats how I feel about my op's.
Most of the time I just wanna let them go and give some spacemonkey the change to have them.

To those of you skeptics that had doubted them all along, make sure you say that you're sorry as you're giving them money and tell them what an awesome job they did as well! Just got them in the mail today and, I seriously feel so much better now that I won't frantically be scouring the Earth for the originals! So, before I hear any criticism, I am on an hour sleep and I know I'm not Brad Pitt...but just to show you...
<a href="http://s39.photobucket.com/albums/e174/meta_morphasis/?action=view¤t=THEYEXIST.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e174/meta_morphasis/THEYEXIST.jpg" border="0" alt="Aren't they beautiful?"></a>

<a href="http://s39.photobucket.com/albums/e174/meta_morphasis/?action=view¤t=YeeeaaaahSeeee.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e174/meta_morphasis/YeeeaaaahSeeee.jpg" border="0" alt="Yeahhhh Seeee!"></a>

THEY EXIST.
And Paper Street Shades & Co., I can't thank you enough for silencing a long ridiculous goose chase for these! Just for good measure I might request a couple more and get my friend to do different color lenses just so I can have back-ups, so make extras! That'll drain the pocket book! Hahaha, anyway, everyone...check them out because they are so awesome at what they do and the mirage that some of us have been chasing has been replicated to the exact detail! I think they are out at the moment (since I snagged the last pair and all!), but they're are requesting and working on a second batch. So sign up with them now, and get 'em if you can!
