spotting scope for digital camera

I would like a scope in the $500.00 to 700.00 range for taking pictures at the ocean and in the mountains. I have a Cannon EOS digital camera I will be mouning it to. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Scott and I are in on this together. Smile We want to attach the scope to our Canon camera. We also want to use it for viewing via a tripod mount for wildlife in dawn, dusk and day light and the night sky. We've seen some options on Cabela's, particularly their Professional and their Big Sky scopes.

Looking for recommendations. Many thanks!
