I hunt pheasants without a dog. Could the Gamefinder help locate birds
hidning in cover in daylight? Would GF-PRO-M be an adequate model?

Hi

No gamefinder will come even close to a dog for finding game and no gamefinder should ever be relied upon as a primary means of finding game.
Game Finder Pro M Heatseeker can sometimes be helpful, but they have limitations out in the field, especially on gamebirds in cover and especially on pheasants, which, more often than not, hit the ground running when you drop one. Simply put, there are far too many variables that affect performance to make these an acceptable substitute for a dog.
