What to look for in a camera for concert pictures

I need a good point and shoot 35 mm to take to music concerts that will take good pictures.. what is my best bet in a camera.. And sometimes they make us shut off our flash..

I have a minolta freedom 160 but already getting lines in the negative film which shows up on pictures..
