Do you know why the trend in digital cameras is to remove the optical viewfinder? I find the LCD viewfinder lacking clarity in daylight

Hi
Mostly a matter of size. When you get to the size of a typical point and shoot these days, there just isn't any room left for an optical viewfinder. I'm with you, though - much prefer a viewfinder.
