Pentax Optio S 60 Batteries don't stay charged

Postby patricia.g.martin@embarq. on Tue Dec 05, 2006 5:24 pm

I was given a Pentax Optio S60 last Christmas. In September I noticed that even though I was using the batteries for cameras, that they were becoming depleted quite quickly. I checked the batteries with a meter and they show that they are only half charged. Is this common with this camera, or is it a problem I need to have looked into? Pat Martin

Hi

It could be a problem with either the battery or the charger. Have you tried a different battery? It might also to help to remove the battery from the charger as soon as it is fully charged. Leaving it in the charger after it is fully charged can damage the battery.

Hi

We don't have the resources to do troubleshooting or repair on cameras. That's something that you will have to address with Pentax. You may wish to visit with Pentax at 1-800-877-0155
