Can the power on the Meade 8300 be changed? I'd like to be able to do 10X and 20X. Maybe through the use of different eyepeices?

Hi Larry

Sorry, Meade does not offer other eyepieces for that model. If you need more magnification, you'll need to step up to a different model. Try the 40x Celestron momocular 4020, http://www.opticsplanet.net/celestron-dissecting-microscope.html for a low priced, but higher magnification model. Otherwise, a model such as the LOMO SF-50, http://www.opticsplanet.net/lomo-sf-50-microscopes.html is the way to go.
