I am looking for a digital camera adaptor or something to capture quality microbiological slide images for the local community college. I want to be able to edit the images on my laptop. Cost is an issue since I will not be reimbursed for the thing and I am only a lowly lab-tech whose service is valued at $7 per hour. Obviously I don't do the job for the money but for the experience as I try to get into med school. A used part is fine. Something to use with my Kodak digital camera is fine, too. Just need to get some images for a lab manual. What do you recommend?

Thanks,
Christine.

Hi

We don't carry microscope cameras, but you can attach any small digital point and shoot camera to nearly any optical device with a universal digital adapter such as the Radian Universal Digital Adapter, Barska Digiscoping Adaptor or Zhumell Universal Digiscoping Adapter. Just be sure to measure the diameter of the eyepiece on your scope and order accordingly. These are simple affairs, consisting of a bracket on one end, which clamps to the eyepiece of the scope and a platform at the rear end, which holds the camera over the eyepiece of the scope.
