I'm looking for a compact tripod to use with spotting scopes and would like something with a collapsed length under 18". The intended use is with a 50m scope but I might also use it on occaision with a 85mm scope so good stability is a requirement. It doesn't need to have a head.

Any recomendations? Question

Hi

At this time we are not selling a compact tripod leg set. All our compacts come complete with a head. In a quality compact, our best model is the Leupold, http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-compact-tripod.html However, no compact is going to be a good match for an 85mm scope. You will give up stability, compared to a full size tripod.

I too am looking for suggestions on tripod and head choices for a B&L
Elite 20-60x80mm with straight eyepiece and a 5'10" user. Smoothness and ease of function desirable; weight not so much so. Thanks very much.
