hello in need of some help, have a 20x60x60 simmons redline spotting scope and my problem is on the eye peace, when I recieved my spotting scope it was accompanied with a instructions sheat, on that sheat there is a section that states "set up & mounting" and refers to removal of the eyepeace cap, am unsure if there is a eyepeace cap on the spotting scope I recieved, for the eyepeace has a lens yet looks as though it is a cap and I do not want to remove it and damage my new spotting scope.
Is the redline 20x60x60 spotting scope sent with a eyepeace cover or not? |

I think if you can see through it, the eyepiece cover is off and if you can't see through it, the eyepiece cover is on.
Unless it's referring to some kind of clear sticker over the lens for shipping purposes (and I've never seen that), an eyepiece cover is just like a lens cap--an opaque plastic cap you snap over the lens to protect it when not in use. |
