Nikon universal mount for spotting scope

Can the Nikon camera mount be used on the Leupold 20x60 golden ring scope? The spotting scope is older and a straight scope. My camera is an older coolpix. If the mount is just to put the lens of the camera to the lens of the scope, it should work. Maybe. Thanks

Yes, there should be enough adjustment to work. It will work with either straight or angled scopes.
