filter question

Hi, I was thinking of purchasing a filter for my pentax 24mm lens. Is there a big difference in quality between a Pentax filter, and say, a Tiffin filter? Also, Is it wise to use both a UV and Polarizing filter, or would that really degrage the image? Thanks for your help!

Hi

You will find little difference in filters, brand to brand, at the same price point. Tiffen makes some good filters.

A UV filter will with a polarizing filter stacked on it will work, but each time you add another filter, you lose some light transmission. When time permits, I prefer to go one filter at a time.
