I am trying to buy a telescope for Christmas to my cousin (A college student) and hence want to know which is better a microscope among Meade 9260, Meade 9600 and LOMO P-111 for a student. I also would like to know why?

Of these, the Meade 9600 is the best microscope in terms of features needed for serious study, namely illumination and a mechanical stage. If you are on a budget, though, the P-111 is a great buy.
