I am really only interested in using it for pitching speeds of one person at a time. So the accuracy between the two are similiar? Why the advertised $75 price difference? (Hopefully that didn't sound rude! It wasn't meant to be) Either I will be holding the radar in my hand while I do the catching of the pitcher, or will set the floor unit on the floor beside me. Will that make a difference in the comparison of the two?
Thank you.
Mostly it's a matter of what we recieve from the manufacturer as far as costs. The Bushnells are so low in price mainly because we buy such huge quantities. I do not reagrd the SpeedTrac as a better product, especially for your application.
The Speedtrac will be more convenient to use if you needs a hands free operation, of course. There is no option for mounting the Bushnell on a tripod.
If you want a unit that can be mounted on a tripod or handheld, I'd look at the Sports Radar, SR3000. It's a better unit than either the Bushnell or the SpeedTrac. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
