HI. I was trying to decide between the two rangefinders and wanted your
opinion on which one I should buy. I was leaning towards the Leupold
RX_III over the Elite w/ARC due to a better magnification and lens
diameter, but read that it does poorly in low light conditions(ie dawn
and dusk) by not being able to give a read on an object. I haven't seen
that with the Bushnell, but haven't seen that it doesn't read at low
light conditions either. Basically, I am looking for a rangefinder that
provides true distance to an animal taking into account the slope or
angle at which I will be shooting. I want to spend around $400 and that
appears to be the price of both of these. What have you found to be the
major selling points of one vs the other to help in making my mind up.
THanks.

Hi Joe

The Leupold RX_III has a complex menu and a very busy screen. If you like a lot of software and complex menu options, this is the one for you.

The Bushnell Elite 1500 is simpler to use and the screen is easier to read. I also rate it
as a better built unit.
