looking for high quality but affordable

Hi,

I am looking for the highest resolution scope, for less than $400. I don't think I want any magnifcation because it sounds more fun to be able to walk around looking through the scope, and with it beging magnified, this would be difficult to do. I've been looking that different ATN models, but then noticed the FOV is very low on all of them. Yukon looks like a better choice. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You can't really go by field of view on gen one scopes because only the center of the viewing screen is really useable. All gen one units will perform similarly with the same objective lens sizes. A larger objective lens will offer a brighter picture. If you can get by with magnification, try the new digital units such as this Bushnell Stealthview. The resolution is superior to just about any first or second gen unit out there and you may use RCA cables to record to your camcorder or TV.

What about goggles? Are there any good resolution night vision goggles out there for less than $400?

Thanks for your quick reply!

My favorite goggles are the Bushnell #261020s. They are as good and as user-friendly as anything on the market.

What about the Bushnell monocular #BU-NV-262013? Think it's good enough?
