ooookay, what's the deal on the Night Detective devices?

Having a hard time selecting a Night Vision scope, goggle or monocular from our huge selection? Need to know the difference between Gen 1, 2, 3 and 4? Just ask!

These look like a pretty good deal and seem like a good bang for the buck. I'd like to stay under $200 as it's just for checking out the woods behind the house, and probably waterproof so I can check out the woods from a boat.

Thoughts on what'll work? Gen 1+ preferred me thinks.

Thanks!

Hi

All gen 1 products, regardless of brand or model, get their intensifier tubes from the same factory, so as long as a model has all the other features you want, go for it. As far as performance, a Gen 1 is pretty much a Gen 1. Night Detective is certainly a reliable brand and a good choice.

Thanks Joanie!

So is the gen 1+ substantially better than the gen 1? And is the glow from the digital ones a problem when viewing wildlife?

Hi

You are welcome.

No. All the + means is that the tube is of recent manufacture and production. More advertising than anything in performance.

Joanie, What about the glow from digital ones? Heard anything bad about that for wildlife viewing?
Thanks again.
