Need advice chosing a night vision rifle scope!

I know nothing about night vision scopes and even less about guns/rifles. But all my husband wants for Christmas is a night vision rifle scope to help with the coyote situation that's killing all of our chickens...

ANY advice is much appreciated. I don't want to spend over $500.

I would recommend a night riflescope Yukon NVRS 2.5x50 -

This one will be ideal for your purposes I think. Working distance of 160-200 feet, powerful and really useful IR, optimal magnification - this is what you need .
This model costs a bit more than $500 but is it indeed pretty difficult to find a decent riflecsope for a price below $500.
