Hi there, I'm stilling going over in my head which unit to get. I've been contemplating the NVMT 2x24 or the Viking PRO 2x24, but the night owl G1 goggles and monocular both look tempting too.
I work at festivals a lot and am often working night shifts, finding breaks in fences and trying to meet up with other people i'm supposed to be working with, so a NV unit with auto focus would make life a lot easier! Are there any half-decent monoculars or goggles under $1000 that have this feature? I'm looking for a 1x or 2x mag, either digital or standard. Pref with bright light protection but not vital... What can you suggest?
Head-mounting would be ideal, but again, not vital. Water resitance is relatively important, although i wouldnt be stupid enough to try and use it in the rain!
To sum up, i need a reasonable 1x/2x monoc or goggle with auto focus. Or if not, then one which is very easy to focus..
Any help appreciated!

Re: auto-focus under $1000? NV Monoc help needed
I've never heard of an auto focus. You will have to adjust for different distances, and this is quite critical. It sounds like a monocular would be much handier, especially if you don't want to walk around with headgear on all night. The Yukon 2x NVMT is a good choice.
