Starting from Scratch, Need advice...
I'm looking into purchasing Night Vision gear to hunt raccoons from a tree stand in a wooded area overlooking rice fields. The raccoons are tearing up my crawfish ponds. Any suggestions?

With an ATN MK 390 you should be able to have a good shot a coons under 100 yards max, assuming you have some ambient light. The scope will sit ridiculously high unless it's on an AR-type gun, but still useable otherwise. The picture will not have great resolution, but that's what you can expect from any gen one product. You're at around a couple grand for a gen two unit.

I'm looking to stay within $1500. Would you still suggest the ATN MK 390 at this budget? Thanks

It's your best choice, yes. Pretty good product.

I have an ar-15 and want a night vision scope to shoot hogs at 150 yards. And be able to see them clearly. Low cost of course.

Same choice as above, although you will have to have a pretty fair amount of ambient light for viewing, especially at that range. The picture will not be clear. All gen one picures are fuzzy and pixelated. You are also at about the maximum distance, even for larger animals like pigs.

Is there a quick detach mount availible for the mk 390 so day scope/night scope transition would be quicker and easier.

Unfortunately there is no affective way to have a quick release system with the MK390. There are riser available with large thumbscrews that can detach with relative ease, but that will raise the scope at least .5'' more.

Thanks that was my thought also but was unsure if ATN offered any upgrades to the mount.
