I recently purchased a Yukon Digital Ranger from Optics Planet. I'm happy with the clarity and overall performance. However, all I'm interested in is sky watching at night. Would a traditional Gen 1 NV scope give me better performance for watching the night sky?
Though I would recommend a digital night vision for any land viewing, a traditional NV unit with an intensifier tube might be a better bet for sky viewing. A digital unit would still work for you, however, a traditional unit might make the stars pop a little more against the background.
