Having a hard time selecting a Night Vision scope, goggle or monocular from our huge selection? Need to know the difference between Gen 1, 2, 3 and 4? Just ask!
Armasight IR850 is listed as a newly added product. The spec indicates 600mW power rating with 500 meters distance. It sounds too good and wondering anyone has tested or experienced with this IR.
On the side note, the IR810 & IR850 for Sirius/NYX-14 are rated as 120mW with 100 meters distance. Not sure this is an older version but they look identical. Can someone shed some light on this?
Okay, I contacted Armasight and here is the deal.. Armasight has the old version IR810 and IR850 as well as the newer version with higher power. The new version is called IR810W and IR850W. Notice the "W". The newer version has 600mW power compared to the 120mW for the older one. OpticsPlanet is showing the correct power rating for the newly added IR which is 600mW, but the name is wrong. It should be IR810W and IR850W. iR810 and IR850 correspond to the older version with the power rating of 120mW. Also, the part number for IIR850W should be IAIR850IR000002. OpticsPlanet is showing IAIR850IR000001 which corresponds to the older version. What makes matter worst is they look identical. Can someone at OpticsPlanet correct these two errors so I can peacefully order the right version.
