Armasight IR810 or Armasight IR810W

I have Sightmark Ghost Hunter Binos 1x24 and would like to add an IR light. I am looking at either the Armasight IR810 $94 or Armasight IR810W $198.49 b/c from my research Gen 1 responds better to 810w IR light. Primary purpose is to head mount the binos for night time hiking and navagating in completely dark caves. Is the IR810W better for my application as it is twice as expensive? Are there any other IR Light suggestions?

Hello, both units have the same wavelength (810nm), so the IR light is technically the same. The major difference is in the power. The 810w has twice as much as the 810. You should get quite a bit more range out of the 810w. I can't say exactly because range depends on your vision and the operational environment. However, if you are using the device in the open field, the 810w will work best for you.
