ATN PVS-7 Gen. 2 Night Vision Weapon Goggles

I am thinking to buy ATN PVS 7 Gen. 2 Night Vision Weapon Goggles as I heard they are the best and used by the US military. I do have one or two questions though. Firstly what is first generation? is it not as good as a 2nd generation pair? Does the goggles straps fit all heads? Finally this would be my first pair of night vision goggles. Though i have used them before is there anything i should look out for? And finally finally what is your opinion on these night vision goggles? are they suitable for my first pair? All your replys are very greatful.

ATN PVS 7 Gen. 2 Night Vision Goggles are one of the best Gen II night vision goggles we carry. However, the US Military and special forces are using the Gen 3 Delta version of A/N-PVS-7D

The generation of a night vision device refers to the type of intensifier
tube used in the device. Night Vision Generation one, of course, is the lowest tube. 2nd
generation night vision goggles is a big step up. You will notice a huge difference in price, but you will also notice a huge difference in quality as well.

As for the night vision goggle straps, yes they will fit any head. They are fully
adjustable to fit anybody.
As for what you should look for in a unit, it is hard for me to say. I would
prefer a unit that is light weight, especially when using a headset. I would
also think of what situations I will be using the unit in. Will there be bad
weather conditions. If so, you will want a waterproof unit - Mil. Spec Delta AN/PVS-7 64lp Grade A Generation III Goggles with Northrop Grumman (LITTON E.O.S.) intensifier tube are the best and they are submersible.

Another thing to watch out for is the warranty you get. Make sure that you
do get a manufacturer warranty. All of our night vision products are brand new and the full warranty come with it.

If you would like some other night vision goggles, supply me with which products you are looking at. I would be happy to recommend one over the other, if you are torn between two models. Please let me know.

Please let us know if you have any questions!
