Which one should I get?

Having a hard time selecting a Night Vision scope, goggle or monocular from our huge selection? Need to know the difference between Gen 1, 2, 3 and 4? Just ask!

Which one should I get?

Postby Befuddled Wife on Fri Dec 05, 2003 4:06 pm

I'm looking at the night vision spotting scopes in the $200-ish range as a Christmas gift to my husband. He has no specific needs, this would just be mostly for fun watching racoons and such in our woods at night, and objects along the coast at the beach at night. I would still like a good quality image, though. I was looking at the Elf 1 and the ATS Night Leopard and a Bushnell model. They all seem to be reasonable sizes. I'm not sure what the differences are--I don't know how to decipher the specs though I gave it my best try. If my husband really likes this and later wants to add accessories, which one offers the most selection? I would also like the best quality image my limited budget can allow.

One more biggie--when's the last I can order to get delivery by Christmas and still use standard UPS ground?

And a last--does the restocking fee apply to exchanges of a defective item for a good one?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Thanks for your interest in our Night Vision products! All three companies, ATN, Bushnell, and LOMO are major and very reputable Night Vision manufacturers. I would probably go with a LOMO Elf if tiny size is important. Gen 1 tubes from the major Night Vision manufacturers are very much the same. Take a look at our "How to Buy Night Vision" Section for more info and let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

The restocking fee on exchanges only applies to non-defective products. We inspect most of the products we ship to our customers and we inspect 100% of what is returned to us.
