What scope would work best?

Having a hard time selecting a Night Vision scope, goggle or monocular from our huge selection? Need to know the difference between Gen 1, 2, 3 and 4? Just ask!

What scope would work best?

Postby medino03 on Tue Jul 31, 2007 8:42 am

I recently purchased a DPMS LR-308 and am looking to do some night shooting once it arrives. I am leaning towards a Horus Vision Falcon day scope or a Leupold Mark 4 Tactical 6-20 Power. I have seen people put night vision scopes in front of day optics. Any advice on a night vision rig that would work well and be under $1000 would be great.

The only available units that can be installed in front of a magnified scope are the PS22s. Other units mechanically will not work. The PS22s are built speciafically for this purpose. Prices start at $2500.00 for a standard gen 2 unit.

The PVS-22 is only available to law enforement according to almost every website I have looked at. Are there any generic brands that have the same capability?

What is the difference in the PVS-22 and the ATN PS-22? If I were to go with a regular night vision scope and had a $1000 for about a 300 yard shot what would you suggest?
