Is it safe to use Lithium-ion batteries in Night Owl scopes?

I noticed most Night Owl scopes use CR123 lithium cells, these things aren't exactly cheap or common where I live.

Is it safe to use lithium-ion CR123's? I know they peak at 3.7 volts, would this be too much?

Hi,

If the manual does not say they are compatible then you really should not tey without contacting the manufacturer. 800-444-5994
