| Are there any good 5"-6" reflecter telescopes (I hear they're good for nebulas) for around $150 or less? I've been looking at the Orion SpaceProbe™ 130mm EQ Reflector, but I'd like to find something cheaper and hopefuly bigger. Also, I'd like to get into astrophotography someday so I want a telescope that could work with cameras. Any ideas? |

Hi
At that price, you are looking almost exclusively at 4.5" reflectors on equatorial mounts. To get up to 6" on an equatorial mount (and you will need an equatorial for any serious photography), you will need to spend closer to $400. Examples:
Celestron Advanced Series C6 N, http://www.opticsplanet.net/clstrn-c6-n.html
A motorized EQ, such as the Meade LXD75 6N EC, http://www.opticsplanet.net/meade-lxd75-n-6ec-newtonian-telescope.html is even better for photography.
If you are willing to settle for some very limited photography, a Dob, such as the Celestron 6" Starhopper, http://www.opticsplanet.net/celestron-star-hopper-6-dobsonians-telescope.html, will come in at about $250. _________________ ----------------------
