Nikon Monarch 800 versus 800S
Hi,
The following website lists the Nikon Monarch 800S and 1200S.
http://nikon.topica.ne.jp/bi_e/products/laser/index.htm
Would anyone happen to know the significance of the extra "S" at the end? Could these be newer models?
Thanks

Your link does not work, but if there is an "S" designation it is from the seller, not Nikon. There is no "S" model in the Nikon offerings.

Yes there most certainly is an 'S' series from Nikon. Although I don't know what the difference is either. Could someone please help who does not think he knows it all?

The S version is a designation for a market that is outside the US. The S series allows you to select between first target priority and farthest target priority.
ALL US models of the Monarch rangefinders have this capability, so there is no S designation in the US.

The "S" designation is not on the US Nikon website. I will post a link below to the US Nikon website.
Nikon USA
The "S" designation is for their global market as Ryan has pointed out:
Nikon Global
This can be seen in the top right corner of their website.
